On March 3rd, GCVI will also welcome guest speaker Tracy Lee Cain who will speak to our Africentric English class along with other Canadian history classes. Tracy Lee was Born and raised in Brantford Ontario, Tracy has now made Guelph her home for over 20 years. She is a proud 5th generation Black Canadian with ancestral roots in North Buxton, Queen’s Bush settlement, and St. Catharines/Niagara / Brantford area. Audiences enjoy listening to her warm smooth vocal styling that are influenced by gospel, jazz, and RnB. Her contralto voice has been compared to artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Anita Baker – to name a few, but Tracy has a styling of her own that combines many of the greats. Tracy brings together her passion and purpose in her educational, interactive and music filled presentation of “And Then What Happened…” Black Canadian History.- the untold stories.
