Back to back D10 Tennis Championships for GC!
Coach Buchanan and Coach Lodge would like to congratulate the entire GCVI tennis team for capturing their 2nd consecutive D10 Tennis Championship this past Friday. You represented GC with spirited play and positive character throughout.
Shout out to Ava Ignor, Simon Scott, Jonah Steinman, Nikhil Sahay, Mehrana Soleimanipour and Sam Kwatra for qualifying for the upcoming CWOSSA Championships.
University Fair
This is a reminder that the University Information Sessions and Fair is tomorrow! If you're a grade 12 student and have NOT yet signed up please visit Guidance asap! The fair will begin tomorrow after the announcements. Grade 12 students should go to your period 1 class for attendance tomorrow and wait to be called down to the Aud.

Diwali is a secular holiday and it is observed all over the world, celebrating light over darkness and good over evil. Join us for an evening of great food, performances and dance. CAS - Food Drive
This is Day 1 of our annual food drive to support the Guelph Food Bank. Please bring any donations to the tables in front of the AUD to add to your grade's total points. Tomorrow there will be double points for rice, pasta, or pasta sauce. Don’t forget to bring in your donations Gaels!
CAS - Women's Health Fundraiser
On October 22nd GCVI will be hosting a movie night to fundraise for women's health. This issue affects more than half the population yet is often overlooked. Today at noon a google form will be posted on the gcvi movie night instagram in their bio. Fill it out to reserve your spot - quantities are limited so reserve it ASAP!!! Payment options and details will be released later this week. See you there!
CAS - Dyslexia Awareness

De- Stress Club
Hello Gaels, mark your calendars because D-stress club is hosting its first activity of this year this Thursday in Room 54 at 11:45. We will be doing a fall themed bingo with a candy prize for the winners! Join the classroom to add songs to our club playlist for the activity! Bring your friends for a fun lunch activity!

Gaels, did you know that you can make a battery out of a potato? Well, if that interests you, the GCVI Science fair is back!! Trick or Eat
Hey Gaels! Do you want to get involved in your community and get volunteer hours? Well, if so then Trick or Eat is perfect for you! Volunteers will go out on halloween and knock on people's doors in their community, asking for donations for the Guelph Food Bank. If this interests you please come to an information meeting in the Library innovation lab Tuesday October 15 at the start of lunch.
