Sustainability Council
Hey GC! Today is Walk, Bike, and Roll Day - a day to encourage and celebrate students who are able to use ACTIVE TRANSPORT to get themselves to school. Your GCVI Sustainability Council thinks we should ALSO celebrate those who use SHARED transit - you take a bus, you take public transit, you carpool with other families. Teachers, can you please survey your class and then complete the google form sent out this morning to share how your class did? There are treats coming tomorrow for the class that had the highest share of active and shared transit! Great job GC!
Soccer
Last night your boys' soccer teams wrapped up the regular season against Centennial. In the junior match, the boys played extremely well and were the better team, but unfortunately had to settle for a 1-0 loss. Despite the loss, the junior team still finished high enough in the standings to host their quarter final match against Orangeville on Thursday. In senior action, your boys' soccer team finished their perfect regular season with a 3-0 victory over Centennial. Goal scorers were Bardia Seprhr, Marko Trkulja, and Anwar Mao. Cillian Hughes earned another clean sheet. During the 6 regular season games, the boys scored 30 goals and did not concede a single goal. The seniors have a bye to the semi finals that will be played on Tuesday at the University. It was such a successful regular season for both teams. Best of luck in the playoffs!

Hey Gaels! Think you’ve got the best shot? Come test your skills at the GCVI turkey shoot!!! For only $2 you'll get 5 chances from the three-point line. The shooter with the most made baskets gets to bring home a thanksgiving turkey!!! Come to the gym at lunch to shoot your shot, grade 9s and 10s on wednesday, 11s and 12s on thursday, and the finals for all grades are on friday. Hope to see you there and good luck.
