Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Clay, was a world-famous heavyweight boxing champion known for his famous saying, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” After converting to Islam in 1965, he opposed the Vietnam War, leading to the loss of his titles and millions of dollars. Despite this setback, he eventually regained his title. Ali is also unique on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with his star placed on a wall instead of the ground, as he didn’t want the name Muhammad to be stepped on. He passed away in July 2016, and his funeral drew thousands from diverse backgrounds. His wife Lonnie highlighted his commitment to helping the poor and victims of conflict, driven by his faith.
