GUELPH, ON – The Upper Grand District School Board is proud to announce that it will be participating in Mental Health and Education Week again this year. Mental Health and Education Week will be celebrated this year between May 6-10, 2024.
At the Upper Grand, students and staff will be focusing on the theme “5 Days of Wellness.” Each day throughout the week, the UG community will explore an aspect of wellness.
Daily topics for the 5 Days of Wellness are, what is wellness, the language of wellness, the science of wellness, the connection to nature and the practice of wellness.
As with previous years, the UG Mental Health and Education Week committee hosted a student contest asking for student designed logo submissions. The committee is pleased to announce that this year’s winner is Jordan C, a grade 12 student at Centennial CVI.
This year to encourage participation, classrooms are being challenged to submit a summary of their learning as part of the Mental Health and Education Week Classroom Challenge. Submissions can be a video, PDF, slide deck or any other form of media of all the areas of wellness they focused on during the week.
Throughout the week of May 6, be sure to follow UG social media accounts and #MHUG for the latest Mental Health and Education Week content.
