Summer School – Asynchronous Online Learning

Registration for Summer School - Asynchronous Online Learning opens on March 3rd.

These courses are taught fully online in an asynchronous format. This means you have added flexibility in terms of the pace and schedule of your course work.

To be successful in online summer school courses, it is recommended that you are a self-directed learner who has strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Upper Grand DSB Online learning summer school will run from July 2 to July 25, 2025.

Students should expect to work a minimum of 5-6 hours every day to complete their studies.

Daily attendance and participation are mandatory.  Students cannot be excused for summer holidays and should not register if they are unable to participate in the whole program.

Students are unable to access online learning courses from outside of Canada.

These credits are for Grade 9 – 12 students:

  •  attempting a credit for the first time; or

  •  attempting a credit for the 2nd time

Students cannot be registered in more than one summer school program in the same session.

Upper Grand DSB secondary school students should see their home school guidance counselor to register for a summer online (eLearning) course.

Students who are not currently registered in a UGDSB secondary school should contact a guidance counsellor in their home school to register for a summer online learning course. The UGDSB is part of the province wide consortium and all online learning opportunities are accessed through a student's current school board.
