Policy 319 Community Planning and Facility Partnerships

Policy Statement

The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) recognizes that facility partnerships between the board and community partners can maximize the use of public infrastructure, reduce facility operating costs for the board, provide a foundation for improved service delivery for communities within the district, strengthen the relationship between the UGDSB, community partners, and public and municipal governments, and ultimately improve services, programs, and supports available to students. The UGDSB is committed to the development of cooperative, collaborative, and compatible facility partnerships with community partners where viable, to the benefit of boards, students, and the community, and to optimize the use of public assets owned by the board. This policy implements the Community Planning and Partnerships Guideline released by the Ministry of Education in March 2015.
