In accordance with the authority granted to the Board of Trustees (Board) under Section 169.1 (1) (h) of the Education Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.2, and the requirement of Ontario Regulation 83/24, the Board shall conduct an annual performance appraisal of the Director of Education in meeting the duties under the Education Act (the Act), and any policy, guideline or regulation made under the Act.

Duties of the Director of Education include those specified in Section 283.1 (1) of the Education Act  and board Policy 114 – Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Education.
