School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week runs from June 2 - 6, 2025, and students across Ontario can enter a drawing contest to express their gratitude and celebrate.
Organized by the Ontario Traffic Council School Crossing Programs Committee, the contest is open to students between the ages of 4 and 14 and runs from February 3 - March 31, 2025.
Students can submit one 8.5” x 11” drawing in JPG, PNG or PDF format. Submissions can be sent to traffic@otc.org along with the student’s first name, age, school, municipality, and contact information.
Entries must be original works and should illustrate the theme "Celebrating Our School Crossing Guards" while reflecting the diverse aspects of the community. Students can use any drawing medium of choice.
The winning drawings will be featured on thank you cards for School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week across the province. Winners will be announced on April 14, 2025 on the School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week website.
Important Note to Parents/Guardians:
By submitting an entry, parents/guardians consent to their child's artwork to be used on thank you cards and for promotional purposes related to the School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week along with their first name and City or Town.
Featured drawing is from 2024 winner Jayden at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Elementary School in Oakville.
