This charity event and student-led initiative, is expected to draw an audience of over 700, promising an unforgettable evening featuring live entertainment, including a musical performance by featured Nashville artist Alexa Goldie, and exceptional food provided by local businesses.

The goal? To raise over $100,000 for local charities in Wellington County and surrounding areas. The gala represents the culmination of their efforts, with proceeds benefiting impactful organizations such as the Guelph Children’s Foundation and the Make Your Mark Foundation, as well as the Beyond Borders program itself. This ensures that experiential learning opportunities remain accessible to future learners.

Over the past four months, these students, brought together from high schools across Guelph, have been participating in the Beyond Borders program. This learning initiative challenges traditional classroom norms by emphasizing real-world applications and community engagement.

“Over its 12-year history, Beyond Borders has raised almost $1,000,000 for local causes, while redefining what education can achieve,” said Jack McEachern, Director of Marketing & Creative for the program. “This year’s group is aiming to break the event’s previous fundraising record of $132,000, showcasing once again how small groups can create monumental change.”
