Upper Grand's Post-Secondary Navigation team recently invited grade 11/12 students with a medical diagnosis, disability, or Individual Education Plan (IEP) on a tour of the Conestoga College Doon Campus.
The event included an information session for prospective students to learn about programs and next steps as they consider becoming a college student.
Students were also given the opportunity to explore the campus, labs, and on-campus amenities, as well as connect with the Accessible Learning team who are committed to providing equal opportunity, individualized accommodations and supports to students.
"The college is huge. [There are] tons of fun things to do [and] things for people with disabilities," one student commented.
More tours are being planned for the new year.
