The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is excited to announce this year's United Way campaign, supporting a range of essential community services across Guelph, Wellington County, and Dufferin County.

With a mission to uplift vulnerable groups, United Way-funded programs help address pressing needs, including youth mentorship, mental health support, food security, and assistance for survivors of domestic violence. Through the campaign, UGDSB supports organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Guelph Community Health Centre, the Orangeville Food Bank, Family Transition Place, and the YMCA-YWCA.

To make the campaign a success, UGDSB is seeking enthusiastic United Way Liaison Representatives from each Family of Schools. As a liaison, you’ll be key in promoting the campaign, coordinating activities, and encouraging participation among colleagues. This role is an opportunity for UGDSB staff to drive meaningful change and contribute to the health and well-being of local communities.

Funds raised through this campaign stay within the community, directly benefiting programs and services that UGDSB educators see impacting students and families every day. For those passionate about community service, becoming a liaison is a chance to make a difference in the lives of students, families, and community members in need.

If you're interested in volunteering as a United Way Liaison Representative, please complete the form found in the staff newsletter or contact Dellesia Noah at dellesia.noah@ugdsb.on.ca for more information.

Together, we can build a brighter future for our students and communities.
