On October 24, 2024, Centennial CVI CELP students got their hands dirty working with staff from Trout Unlimited to remove invasive phragmites in Howitt Park Creek in Guelph.
Students learned about the multi-year plan to restore the riparian zone in partnership between Trout Unlimited and the City of Guelph.
Hopefully their work will help to bring back cold water species to this tributary of the Speed River!
