Guelph, ON – Congratulations to Billy Bridges and Alex Caudarella, who as alumni, were inducted into John F. Ross CVI's Hall of Fame for their contributions to the world stage.

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, students and staff at J.F. Ross CVI gathered in the auditorium for their annual Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony, where students and staff elect past alumni who have made significant contributions or incredible achievements in their local communities or on the global stage.

This year’s nominees, Billy Bridges – a four-time Paralympian – and Alex Caudarella, a leading Canadian clinician on substance and addictions health care were inducted for their achievements in their career.

Bridges was present to accept his award in person, and as he spoke to Ross students detailing his own experiences with his time at Ross, “I often felt like I was leading two lives, one as a student, and the other competing as an athlete on the world stage.”

He encouraged students that now was the time for them to explore their passions, “because that’s where you’ll find your strengths.”

Caudarella shared with students – through a pre-recorded video message –  that it was through his support from teachers at his time at Ross, that he was able to realize the person he was becoming and at what he wanted to be, “Ross and Guelph had such an amazing role in my life.”

Although Caudarella was not able to attend the ceremony in person, his parents accepted his award on his behalf.
