A student from the CELP program holds two tree saplings, while out in a field.

Since 2007, Grade 10 Community Environmental Leadership Program (CELP) students from Centennial CVI have planted trees every semester on the City of Guelph's Arkell Spring Grounds to protect the city's groundwater.

This year, the CELP class was joined by 65 Grade 8 students from Rickson Ridge PS and 25 Grade 5 students from Kortright Hills PS.

Trees are provided by Wellington Green Legacy and so far 30,000 have been planted through community collaboration with the City of Guelph, Wellington Green Legacy, CELP and other determined students.

Together we are creating a forest where there used to be a field!
