Guelph, ON -- Congratulations to Upper Grand District School Board Trustees Ralf Mesenbrink and Laurie Whyte, for being honoured with the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Selected by a committee of community leaders, Mesenbrink and Whyte were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Guelph.

Mesenbrink expressed his gratitude, saying, “The intrinsic satisfaction I get from doing what I love is all the reward I seek, and it is humbling to be recognized along with others who have contributed so much.”

Whyte shared her pride, noting, “It was inspiring to see so many people making a difference in Guelph.”

The award ceremony took place at the River Run Centre, where 20 local recipients were celebrated.

Both trustees were honoured for their dedication to the community, with Whyte recognized for her advocacy in the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder community and special education needs and Mesenbrink for his work in education.

Their recognition reflects the deep impact they have had in Guelph and beyond.
