GUELPH, ON – Some students from the Upper Grand District School Board who practice martial arts with Guelph Family Martial Arts recently returned from the Ontario Martial Arts Championships in London, Ontario.
This event draws top athletes throughout North America who practice different martial arts styles and is considered one of the most competitive and longest running events in Canada.
Participants representing Guelph Family Martial Arts were coached by UGDSB Alumni and World Champion Nathan Skoufis.
From the UGDSB and taking home medals were:
Grace B from Centennial CVI with a Gold Medal
Kent W from Centre Wellington DHS with a Gold Medal
