GUELPH, Ontario – Upper Grand District School Board Trustees have approved recommendations related to the Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Final Report.
The LTAP is a strategic review of the UGDSB’s facilities, population and enrolment projections to ensure that school facilities are aligned with the needs of the board and the communities it serves.
The LTAP Final Report identifies a number of proposed short-term (1-5 years) and long-term (6-10 years) priorities and a work plan for future processes, such as boundary reviews or impact studies, to be undertaken. The approval of the LTAP does not make changes to any school boundaries or programs. The LTAP will be reviewed annually with a comprehensive review conducted every five years. Work plan priorities may change as a result of these review cycles.
Approved recommendations include direction to undertake a district-wide Secondary Program Review. Following the program review, staff is to present an Initial Boundary Review Report for the new South Guelph secondary school, as well as initiate a French Immersion/International Baccalaureate Impact Study of secondary schools in Orangeville/Dufferin and Erin.
