Norwells Got Talent Participants

The Norgan Theatre was filled with applause, laughter, and incredible talent on Wednesday October 23 as Norwell DSS Student Council held a “Norwell’s Got Talent” showcase. The event featured a diverse array of student performances that brought out the community, with all donations going toward the MRI+ campaign. Thanks to attendees, $501 was raised for this important cause.

The evening began with a burst of energy from the Norwell Student Council, who performed a glow dance that transformed the stage with their neon choreography, setting the tone for the night. Following this, pianist Ryder E captivated the audience with his original mashup showcasing his musical finesse.

Anna P took the spotlight next, singing When He Sees Me from Waitress the Musical. Her powerful vocals and emotional delivery were met with loud applause. Then, Tate S wowed the crowd with a beautiful violin performance, followed by Abby R with a lively twist to the evening with a tap dance routine to Ghostbusters, infusing humor and rhythm into her performance that had the audience cheering. Bridget N on guitar and Bella H playing the violin charmed the crowd with their duet of Taylor Swift's Our Song.

Ebbony Moroz delivered not one, but two standout vocal performances, first belting out Creep by Radiohead with intensity and then following up with an emotional rendition of Hallelujah. The crowd was riveted as she brought both songs to life with passion and skill.

Adding to the musical mix, Chase S impressed with his fiddle performance, filling the theatre with the energetic sounds of traditional fiddle music. Johanna Vanderaa wowed the audience with a dynamic dance routine to The Evolution of Dance, an homage to iconic dance styles throughout the decades.  Wrapping up the night, Chase and Tate S closed the show with a crowd clapping version of Ryan’s Polka.

Special thanks were given to the judges—Cody Miller, Tina Steeves, and Norwell’s own music teacher Melissa Chapman—who had the difficult task of awarding prizes to such talented participants. Each act brought something unique to the stage, making for an unforgettable night that highlighted Norwell’s vibrant student community.
