All Wolverines are invited to submit entries to Mr. Kivell in Room 201 for the annual Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day Contest by November 12th. There are cash prizes available to be won in every category, and students may enter in multiple categories. Students who win in their categories are automatically advanced to the district, then provincial, and finally national levels for more cash prizes.
Contest Rules:
Grade 9 - 12 Poster Contest (black & white OR colour): no larger than 22”x 28” (56 cm x 71 cm) and on paper or bristol board only.
Grade 9 - 12 Literary Contest- please use only ONE side of an 8.5 x 11 page. Essay length: Grade 7 - 9 max 500 words, Grade 10 - 12 max 800 words
Poem: maximum of 32 lines for all age categories.
Student names should be printed ON THE BACK of their entries. Students will attach an official Registration form (which I will provide). Note: Parents are required to sign this form, giving permission for the entry
All entries need to be submitted to Mr. Kivell by Tuesday, November 12th.
There is also a video contest open to older students. These submissions have to be sent directly to the Ontario Dominion Command.
