Innovative Media Lab - Learning Commons – Whole School
We’re excited to launch a fundraising initiative to bring a video and podcasting system to the Learning Commons! With this new technology, students will have the opportunity to create, explore, and showcase their talents in exciting ways, including:
🎤 Podcasting – Sharing stories, interviews, and school news
🎥 Video Production – Filming announcements, creative projects, and school events
🎬 Green Screen Projects – Enhancing presentations with engaging visuals
📺 Broadcasting & Digital Storytelling – Developing communication skills through multimedia
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to create this innovative media lab where students can develop 21st-century skills in creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. We appreciate your support in making this vision a reality!
Lunch Program – Whole School
Additionally, William C. Winegard School is committed to supporting its Lunch Program, aiming to raise $1,000 during this fundraising event. The Lunch Program plays a crucial role in ensuring that all students have access to nutritious snacks, fostering a healthy and supportive learning environment.
Grade 8 Grad Trip – Muskoka Woods
Moreover, the Grade 8 students at Winegard will actively contribute to the fundraiser as well. Their individual sales will be tracked and the portion of the proceeds from their sales will be directed towards financing their Grade 8 trip to Muskoka Woods, providing a memorable and enriching experience for the graduating class.
The school community is enthusiastic about achieving these goals and making a positive impact on both the educational and social aspects of students' lives.
Prizes:
WCW School is thrilled to introduce exciting incentives for the Term 2 Fundraising campaign, recognizing and rewarding the efforts of our dedicated students. While we believe in the intrinsic value of contributing to a great cause, we've added an extra layer of motivation with enticing prizes for our top fundraisers.
For each division—Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, and Intermediate— the student who emerges as the top fundraiser will receive a gift card to the store of their choosing to acknowledge their outstanding efforts and commitment to the fundraising campaign.
Furthermore, in a friendly competition among classes within each division, the top fundraising classes will earn the coveted reward of a pizza party. This celebration will not only honor the collective achievement of the winning classes but also serve as a fun and enjoyable way to acknowledge their exceptional fundraising prowess. The pizza party is a gesture of gratitude for their hard work and dedication in making a significant impact on the success of the fundraising campaign.
These prizes aim to create an atmosphere of excitement and friendly competition, fostering a sense of camaraderie among students and classes as they collectively strive towards our fundraising goals. William C. Winegard is confident that these incentives will inspire even greater participation and support for the important causes we are championing during this Term 2 Fundraising campaign.
Thank You In Advance:
We understand that everyone's circumstances are unique, and participation in the Term 2 Fundraising campaign is entirely voluntary. While we encourage our students and families to get involved in supporting the various initiatives, we want to emphasize that there is no obligation to participate in the fundraising activities.
For those who may not be able to participate in the designated fundraising events but still wish to contribute, we offer the convenient option of making a direct donation through School Cash Online. This provides a flexible and accessible way for anyone who wants to support our school's initiatives to do so at their own discretion.
