About Us
Mono Amaranth Public School is a K-8 school located on Hockley Road just east of Highway #10 and north of the town of Orangeville. The original school, Mono First Central School was built in 1959. The present building has grown as the result of several additions over the years. With a large rural population, the majority of our students are bused. Both and English (K-8) and French Immersion (Gr. 6-8) programs are offered at Mono Amaranth. Orangeville District Secondary School in Orangeville is the school most of our English graduates attend. Many of the students who graduate from the French Immersion program attend Erin District High School. Through community partnership, curriculum initiatives, communication with students and collaboration between staff, we strive to create an environment at Mono Amaranth that supports lifelong learning.
