DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR DANCING SHOES ARE?
Rickson Ridge School Council is excited to bring you our Professor Jamz Danceathon on Friday, November 8th. Pull out your child’s neon and/or white clothing so they “glow” under the DJ lights while showing off their best moves!
FUNDRAISING
This event is our biggest fundraiser of the school year. Our goal is $8000, which roughly translates to $320 from each class. Together, we are raising funds for each classroom to run hands-on and experiential learning opportunities (e.g. Focus on Nature, Scientists in School, etc). Active exploration is an engaging and valuable learning strategy for our students! We are also raising money to run the Forest of Reading program. This is a treasured program run in the classrooms and led by our teacher librarian, Mrs. Patrick.
If we reach our goal of $8000, student representatives will get to SILLY STRING Mrs. Stoffman and Ms. Martin (our Principal and Vice-Principal, respectively), in front of all the students!
There are 3 ways to donate:
School Cash Online: Donations can be submitted one time per student, until Friday, November 8th.

Cash Pledge Envelopes: Pledge envelopes were sent home with students and need to be returned to the school on Wednesday, November 6th.
TREATS
Terra Cotta cookies, juice boxes, popcorn and freezies will be available for pre-order via School Cash Online for all grades. Kindergartens can ONLY purchase treats via School Cash Online. Grades 1-8 will also be able to purchase treats with cash at the danceathon. Orders through School Cash Online are available until Monday, October 28th at 11:59pm.
ALTERNATE SPACE
A staff supervised alternate space will be available for any students who would prefer not to participate in the danceathon.
Games, books and activities will be available to ensure that danceathon day has something for everyone!
