Dear Mustang Families,
Just a few reminders as we start the week:
Diwali: Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated by many in Canada, the Upper Grand District School Board and at Princess Margaret. This year it coincides with another large event, Halloween. Students who choose to wear special cultural dress to celebrate Diwali with their family, friends, and school are welcome to do so. These items are not costumes and are permitted. Happy Diwali to our Mustang Families who celebrate.
Halloween: If your child decides to dress-up to celebrate the day please ensure that they follow the guidelines as shared in previous emails home and communications from teachers. If you need to review them, please check our school website: https://uppergranddsbon.sites.thrillshare.ca/o/pmps
Poppy Flag: Beginning on October 25th until the end of day November 11th, we will be flying the Poppy Flag of Remembrance at the school. We are flying the Poppy flag as a tribute to the sacrifices of veterans and those who served to protect our freedoms. The flag honors the courage, commitment, and resilience of our veterans and current service members and reminds us of our shared responsibility to remember and support those affected by conflict.
Have a great week.
