Our School
About Us

Minto-Clifford Public School is a JK to 8 school located in Harriston on Highway # 89. The school is bordered by farmland on two sides.
Minto-Clifford students come from the communities of Harriston, Clifford, and the broader Town of Minto. In addition to our regular stream classrooms, we also have two self-contained LRC10 special education classrooms. The services of a Child and Youth Counselor (CYC) are available to assist students who are experiencing social, emotional and self-regulation challenges.
This facility was built in 1965. Bright classrooms, combined with our Library Learning Commons, provide an excellent learning environment for our students. The large yard includes space for students to play (i.e., baseball diamonds, soccer field, creative playground, foot hockey nets, tetherball poles, basketball hoops, and a large tarmac with painted games). A large renovation and addition project in 2008-2009 added classrooms and a new gym. The environmental classroom pack enables students to show other students and schools how to conserve energy.
Minto-Clifford has an enthusiastic and talented staff and we welcome volunteers. The school is actively involved in local events and is supported by our School Council and community organizations. We believe that through working together with home, school, and community we can provide each student with the opportunity to achieve academic success and meet the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum.
Vision Statement
As partners in our educational community, we will provide the skills, knowledge and opportunities that students need to pursue lifelong learning. Together, through effective teaching, we will nurture individual potential to ensure success for all.
