Island Lake PS is on a 5-Day Cycle.

  • 8:35am - Supervision begins (students should not arrive at school prior to this time)

  • 8:50-9:40am - Period 1

  • 9:40-10:30am - Period 2

  • 10:30-11:10am - Nutrition Break & Recess

  • 11:10-12:00 - Period 3

  • 12:00-12:50pm - Period 4

  • 12:50-1:30pm - Nutrition Break & Recess

  • 1:30-2:20pm - Period 5

  • 2:20-3:10pm - Period 6

  • 3:10pm - Dismissal

We all want our students to arrive and leave school safely. In order to work together and avoid any chance of accidents, please let’s work together and follow the rules:

  1. Avoid parking in the bus lane directly in front of the school during arrival and dismissal.

  2. Avoid blocking community or private driveways

  3. Remind your child(ren) to cross at the crosswalk and/or pedestrian crossing in front of the school

  4. Help our crossing guards and supervisors keep kids safe and obey the parking, stopping and crossing rules
