Approximately 100 of our students travel by bus daily. We have 5 buses serving our area. Our area is west of 4th Line Amaranth & Sideroad 25th and north to 89 Hwy. In Melancthon, they cover all the area between Hwy 89 & 10, north to County Rd. 21.

Bus Lane Parking and Student Drop Off

In the interest of student and staff safety the Board has decided to make some changes to school parking and student drop-offs at Hyland Heights Elementary School.

NO STUDENT DROP OFF OR PARKING IS PERMITTED AT THE FRONT OF HYLAND HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – ENTRY TO THIS AREA IS RESERVED FOR BUSSES AND STAFF ONLY.

Elementary student drop off is confined to the Kiss & Ride area at the north end of the (shared with CDDHS) parking lot, located beside the Kinderpac. Parents needing to walk younger students to the gate on the primary school yard, are asked to use the 5-minute drop off area along the easterly side of the (shared with CDDHS) parking lot.

Parents, CDDHS staff and students who require longer term parking are asked to only park in the middle parking spaces of the (shared with CDDHS) parking lot.

Traffic flowing through the (shared with CDDHS) parking lot “one-way” will reduce congestion and ensure that all parents, students and busses are able to safely use this area.
