EJPS Week at a Glance (March 31-April 4)

Chers parents,

Spring is in the air! We have many exciting things to look forward to. For instance, our students will officially be able to enjoy playing on the play structures once again as of April 1st. With that being said, this is also a good time to review some rules and safety measures with the activities associated with the change of season.

On the climbers, please remind your children about the following rules. These will be repeated on the announcements next week:

  • No pushing

  • Slides are for sliding down

  • One person on the slide at a time

  • Keep your eyes open (no grounders)

  • Do not jump off platforms.

  • Use the equipment as intended

  • Do not accept a dare or challenge others to perform a dare (Truth or Dare)

Since we are discussing some rules, here are few more regarding items coming from home to school that require parental support:

  • Do not bring toys, electronic gadgets, or other distractions from home to school

  • Do not bring Pokemon or other trading cards to school

  • Do not bring baseballs, softballs, or hard bats to school

  • Nerf bats or light-weight foam bats are acceptable

  • Tennis balls are a good substitute for baseballs

Lastly, a friendly reminder about dogs on school property:

When dropping off or picking up children, dogs must be on a leash and kept on the  sidewalk off school property. This is the expectation for all Upper Grand District School Board parents/families. Some students have allergies to animal hair/dander or have a fear of dogs. There is also potential for people to be scratched, tripped, jumped on or bitten. Dog walking is not allowed on school property during the school day.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Some notes from the office:

Snacks & Lunches

Spring has sprung...and the students seem to really be growing too 🙂. Please try and pack an extra item or two in your students lunch.
