EJPS Week at a Glance (March 3-7) & (March 17-21)

Chers Parents,

With the March Break on the horizon we will have a double “Week at a Glance” to keep us organized as we transition into and out of this upcoming break from school. First, we wish our Junior Basketball teams and their coaches good luck on March 5th at the tournament. Thank you Mme Stewart, Mme Ammon, and our school chair, Natasha Papadedes! Also, thank you to those who could join us this past Tuesday for our Spirit Day Assembly. Mme Hill’s students did a wonderful job preparing presentations to inspire EJ students to be their best selves. We also took this opportunity to look back and reflect and celebrate our learning in the last while including the month of Black Brilliance. It was wonderful to hear our Dragon Drummers beat out some rhythms as well as Mme Hill and Mme Saylany’s classes singing to make some cool vibrations to inspire us all.

Below are some important dates:

  • March 5 > Junior Basketball Tournament

  • March 10-14 > March Break

  • March 14 > Deadline to complete immunization records for WDGPH

In the coming weeks we have a number of days of significance observed by our EJ families. Feb 28 is the Tibetan Lunar New Year (Buddhist). March 1st is the First of Ramadan observed by Muslim families. March 13 and 14th is Purim observed by Jewish families. March 14 is also a special day for Hindu and Sikh families where Holi and Hola are celebrated. March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day is a special day for those of Irish heritage.

We hope our students continue to apply themselves and enjoy this last week before the March Break. We teach and learn every school day! Every day counts!! The staff here at EJ wish parents and students a safe, fun, and restful time away from school. We too are looking forward to the break and will be refreshed when we all get back to school on March 17th!
