EJPS Week at a Glance (Nov 25-29)
Chers parents,
On Monday, our girls and boys junior soccer teams participated in a tournament winning a total of 5 games and tying 1 game. Way to go! Thank you to Mme Ammon and parent coach, Domingo Perez, for helping prepare our teams to do their best. Our students benefited greatly from the culminating experience and skills of our two coaches. The competition level was high amongst all the schools. Our students played with gusto and demonstrated a respectful and mature attitude. Bravo! Mme Ammon has volunteered once again to coach Junior volleyball. Practices will start running in mid December and into January. Students will hear more on the morning announcements as the time approaches.
In other news, I can’t believe I’m saying this but….Old Man Winter is around the corner. So, be prepared for any inclement weather days by following this link here: https://www.ugdsb.ca/page/inclement-weather-procedures
On the topic of inclement weather and potential no bus days, and absences in general please take note of the school council policy regarding Pizza Days. On any day when a student is absent, refunds will NOT be given. Furthermore, if there is a No Bus Day on a Thursday due to inclement weather, then the entire school’s pizza order will be postponed for that day and the order will be served the next day on the Friday.
EJPS still desperately needs one or several people to fill a permanent noon hour supervisor position. The job could be offered to one person or shared by several people. The paid position requires you to help supervise students outside and inside the school from 10:10 AM to 10:50 AM & from 12:30 PM to 1:10 PM. Spirit Night at Ctrl V Virtual Reality Arcade - Bring your family and friends to Ctrl V, 212 Victoria Road South on Friday, November 29th. They are open at 12pm for the PD Day! For each hour played, Ctrl V will donate $5 to our school to support student activities. Make sure to tell them you are with Edward Johnson!

WokBox, Pizza & Subway - School Cash Online orders for December 2024 will close on Monday, November 25th @ midnight. No late orders will be accepted. ** You may have noticed the line item 'Support a Student's Lunch' has been added to each of the meal options. The funds raised will pay for a meal for a student in need.
Parent Teacher Interview Booking - Our Interview Booking System is open until November 27 @ midnight.
During Parent Teacher Interviews - Please take the time to look through the lost and found. I try to return items to students but there is so much clothing without any labels that It makes this a very challenging task.
