EJPS Week at a Glance (Oct 7-Oct 11)
Chers parents,
We are happy to see that students are keeping on track with their learning as we come to the 6th week of school. We are in the groove! To stay in the “groove” it’s essential to keep up regular attendance. For the most part our attendance has been excellent. If mornings are a struggle to get your child/ren out the door or to even get to school then please look at this great resource from the school board to appreciate the importance of good attendance and how to maintain it. This Monday, September 30th was the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Thank you to Mme Humphey and Mme Hill for their work on having students do morning announcements and organizing our walk. In other news, starting next week we will have our Thanksgiving Food Drive, Oct 7-11, we will be collecting for the Wyndham House of Guelph.
Here is some information from the office:
Guelph Storm Tickets: We have been sponsored by Bobby O'Briens Irish Pub for this year's full set of Guelph Storm tickets (4 per game). The students love this opportunity Merci Bobby O'Briens.🙂 GO Storm!!
If your student & family are the lucky winners of the storm tickets, have fun, and cheer loud!! If you are not able to use them, please pass them along to another EJ family that can go to the game or return them to the office, and we will make sure they are used.
WokBox Food Orders: New hot and fresh school lunches organized by our EJ School Council. Students have a choice between Japanese Dragon Noodles (GF), Crispy Chicken or Jungle Noodles or Rice. They will be served Monday's during 2nd nutrition break. Orders for October are posted now on School Cash Online and close at midnight, October 8th. No late orders will be accepted.
Here is a message from our School Council:
The School Council sincerely appreciates your baking efforts. We are a very fortunate school to have MANY bakers participate and share their delicious baking. We will give you an update of funds raised next week.
I hope we can count on you ALL to bake again next year.
Sincerely,
The EJ School Council
