Arbour Vista Public School

Hello Arbour Vista Families,

As we enjoy the beauty of winter, it's crucial to stay alert and ready for its challenges. With the amount of snow we've been shoveling, it feels like we've been training for a marathon! Please remind your children to wear suitable footwear and be extra cautious when crossing the street during winter. Make sure they wait for cars to come to a complete stop from all directions.

Guelph Public Health

A ROBO call was sent  last week from public health to all overdue elementary students with incomplete immunizations..  This is a reminder for parents/guardians that they can make an appointment with their health care provider or Public Health.  Once their child has received their immunizations please report them to Public Health.  It is important to note that students with incomplete records will be suspended on March 5, 2024 until their records are complete and on file with WDGPH.

Crime Stoppers- Cyber Safety

On February 26th, the Program Coordinator for  Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington will visit Arbour Vista. She will deliver a presentation to all students from Gr 6-8 about the importance of Cyber Safety.

Pink Shirt Day

February 26th is Pink Shirt Day, where we stand up against all forms of bullying. Staff, Students and community members are invited to wear pink and show their commitment to creating safe, positive and inclusive school environments. By wearing pink, we send a message of support and stand together against bullying, discrimination and hatred.

Participating is easy! You can wear pink in your hair, as a piece of clothing, as a cool accessory or can even create a pink background as your online profile. These are just a few ways you can show your support.

Elections

Our school has been selected by Elections Ontario to serve as a polling station for the upcoming provincial election on February 27th. The polling stations will be located in the gym, and you may notice security personnel from Elections Ontario in the building.

Have a great week!
