The Mennonite culture has many different Mennonite denominations. Some of the Mennonite denominations in the Centre Peel Public School area are:
Old Colony Mennonite – Drive any colour vehicle. Have modernized conveniences excluding television and internet. Speak Low-German
Dave Martin Mennonite – Use Horse and Buggy for transportation. Produce their own electricity. Avoid most modern conveniences in their homes (television, radio).
Old Order Mennonite Culture – Use Horse and Buggy for transportation. Tend to be agriculturally based. Avoid most modern conveniences in their homes (television, radio).
Markham Mennonite Culture – Vehicles are usually black. Tend to have more modernized conveniences in their homes, excluding television, radio and internet.
Midwest Mennonite Culture – Tend to have more modernized conveniences in their homes, excluding the television. Becoming less agriculturally based and more favourable towards towards high school and post-secondary education.
